Brian Yuran is a true multi-hyphenate who specializes in captivating dramatic narratives.
Brian is a writer-director-producer-manager and alumni of the prestigious Newhouse School at Syracuse University where he graduated with the Irene M. Sholkin Award in Screenwriting. His first film, Bengal, starring Larry Hankin (Friends, Breaking Bad) premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatres in 2021 and went on to win Best Short Film Director at Venice Shorts and The Remi Award at the World-Fest Houston International Film Festival. His second film, Guardian Angel, starring Sufe Bradshaw (Veep) premiered at LA Shorts, an Oscar-qualifying event. He then went on to direct, The Stairwell, a sci-fi proof-of-concept featuring screen legend, Michael Paré (Eddie & The Cruisers, Streets Of Fire). This short garnered numerous awards including Best Drama Short at the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival. His most recent project, Steady, starring Tate Donovan (Argo, The O.C., Hercules), just wrapped its 2024-2025 festival run and has garnered critical acclaim including being named as the Best Indie Short at the prestigious Independent Shorts Awards annual program.
He is currently in post-production onThe Heart Brake, starring Beverly D’Angelo, Brittany Curran and Joey Lawrence and Sync, starring Cody Christian, Jonetta Kaiser and Michael Paré.
He recently wrapped production on the short film, Yellow Lights, starring Matthew Lawrence and Judd Nelson as well as the feature, Zombois, starring Brenna D’Amico, Daria Rae Berenato, Tuc Watkins and Thomas Dekker.
He will next be producing Paper Made from director Ryan Watson in association with Hungry Bull Productions.
He also has co-written The Lawrence Brothers Detective Agency with 90s television icons - Joey Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, Andy Lawrence - and award-winning comic book writers, The Berkowitz Brothers. It will launch in stores and online in Q3 2026.
When not on set, Brian is a talent manager at Luber Roklin Entertainment where he represents an impressive roster of clients.
